The Nigeria Police Force has warned residents of increasing armed robbery and car-snatching incidents along the road linking Mobil Filling Station to Gaduwa Estate in Abuja, describing the route as unsafe, particularly at night.
The security advisory, circulated to residents of Same Global Estate and neighbouring communities, followed reports of repeated criminal attacks in the area in recent days.
According to the police alert, suspected armed robbers have reportedly targeted motorists and residents plying the route, with a Toyota Venza allegedly hijacked at gunpoint over the weekend.
Residents were advised to avoid the road whenever possible and use alternative routes, especially during late-night movements.
The police urged the public to remain vigilant and security conscious, noting that the information was obtained through its security intelligence network.
“Please take this notice seriously and remain vigilant at all times,” the advisory stated.
The latest warning has further raised concerns over growing insecurity in parts of the Federal Capital Territory, amid increasing calls for intensified police patrols and improved security surveillance across vulnerable areas of Abuja.
