The member representing Kaltungo East in the Gombe State House of Assembly and House Leader, Hon. Yerima Ladan Gaule, says the recent APC consensus arrangement, which edged him out as a potential flag bearer of the party, will not deter him from galvanising support for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Gombe State lawmaker gave this indication when he led stakeholders of the APC within his constituency on a courtesy visit to the Secretary to Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, and the state chairman of the party, Mohammed Dantata Ndus, on Friday.
Hon. Yerima Ladan Gaule explained that, as a loyal member of the APC, he fully stands by the decision of the leadership of the party regarding the just-concluded consensus arrangement which produced the party’s flag bearers.
He reaffirmed his commitment, as well as that of his constituents, to the total and uncompromising victory of the APC in the forthcoming general elections.
While thanking Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for providing leadership at both political and governance levels, the member representing Kaltungo East appealed to the governor to look into the possibility of constructing the Ture-Kaltin road.
The Gombe State APC Chairman, Mohammed Dantata Ndus, described the member representing Kaltungo East as a true patriot of the All Progressives Congress.
He remarked that not all party members can act in a manner that depicts steadfastness and unwavering commitment to the decisions of the party despite the outcome not favouring Hon. Yerima Ladan Gaule.
The Gombe State APC chairman assured the constituents of Kaltungo East and the larger APC family that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya remains committed to the unity, progress and shared prosperity of the party.
Also speaking, Njodi, observed that the political sportsmanship displayed by Hon. Yerima Ladan Gaule is worthy of emulation, describing his grace and fortitude as legendary.
He stated that the decision reached by the APC regarding the just-concluded consensus arrangement was made in good faith, devoid of any preconceived motive, and wished the House Leader greater opportunities for responsibility going forward.
Other speakers, including Honourable Gabriel Galadima, Local Government Party Chairman Buba Galadima, and Musa Hassan Wali Awak, all hailed the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, assuring him of massive support from Kaltungo East Constituency and, by extension, Kaltungo Local Government Area.
The speakers also commended Hon. Yerima Ladan Gaule for his commitment to the party since its inception, describing him as a true leader of the party in Kaltungo East and calling on the party to consider him for other spheres of responsibility.
The House Leader was accompanied on the visit by the member representing Kaltungo West and other stakeholders from Kaltungo East Constituency.
