A Bolt driver was reportedly stabbed to death by suspected car snatchers in Abuja after a violent struggle over his vehicle in the Wuse Zone 6 area of the Federal Capital Territory.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night, May 27, amid heavy rainfall between Lusaka Street and Tunis Street, according to eyewitness accounts.
Sources said the deceased had picked up a group of male passengers before the situation turned deadly. The suspects were alleged to have directed the driver to a dark and isolated location where they ordered him to stop.
Witnesses claimed the passengers attempted to seize the vehicle by force, sparking a struggle with the driver. The assailants reportedly succeeded in taking control of the steering wheel after forcing the victim out of the car.
The driver was said to have resisted the attack and attempted to reclaim the vehicle before he was allegedly stabbed during the confrontation.
In the process, the suspects reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an electric pole. They subsequently fled the scene through adjoining routes leading towards the Wuse Market area before security operatives could apprehend them.
The victim was confirmed dead at the scene, while the vehicle was left badly damaged.
Police authorities had yet to officially comment on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
