The passing of Hon. Phanuel Mosu is a moment of profound sorrow not only for his immediate family, friends and political associates, but for the entire Bachama Kingdom, Adamawa State and all who believed in the power of purposeful leadership.

Hon. Mosu was more than a politician. He was a grassroots leader, a courageous public servant and a committed son of the Bachama people whose life reflected dedication to community development and service to humanity. Throughout his public journey, he demonstrated that leadership is not merely about occupying positions of authority; it is about touching lives, carrying the hopes of the people and leaving communities better than one met them.
His service as a councillor, Administrator of Vulpi Development Area, Special Adviser and Chairman of Numan Local Government Area revealed a leader with deep experience, political courage and an enduring commitment to the welfare of ordinary citizens. In every responsibility entrusted to him, Hon. Mosu brought energy, vision and a strong sense of duty.
Until his passing, he remained committed to the democratic future of his people as the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election. His aspiration represented hope to many, particularly those who believed that his experience, accessibility and understanding of grassroots realities would bring renewed representation and development.
His death has therefore created a painful vacuum. A voice that spoke with conviction has fallen silent. A leader who carried the dreams of many has departed. A devoted son of Bachama has returned home. Yet, while death has taken him from our sight, it cannot erase the impact of his service, the memories of his leadership or the values he represented.
To His Royal Majesty, the Hama Bachama, Homun Daniel Shaga, the traditional institution, the entire Bachama Kingdom, the Mosu family, the Peoples Democratic Party, his friends, supporters and political associates, we share in your grief during this difficult moment.
May the people of Bachama find comfort in the knowledge that Hon. Phanuel Mosu lived a life of purpose. May his legacy inspire present and future leaders to embrace selfless service, courage, humility, accountability and unwavering commitment to community development.
The greatest honour we can give to his memory is not merely to mourn his departure, but to preserve the ideals for which he lived: service above self, leadership with courage and development that reaches the grassroots.
Hon. Phanuel Mosu may have departed from this earthly life, but his contributions will remain written in the hearts of the people he served and in the history of the communities he helped to shape.
Rest in peace, Hon. Phanuel Mosu.
Your voice may be silent, but your legacy will continue to speak.
Your journey has ended, but the impact of your service will endure.
The Bachama Kingdom mourns a worthy son, the family lost a worthy father, Adamawa State mourns a committed leader.
