The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency of Taraba State, Alhaji Muktar Galadima, on Thursday said the establishment of a Nigerian Army division in Taraba would strengthen security operations and help tackle insecurity in Taraba and neighbouring Adamawa State.
Galadima described the siting of the division headquarters in Taraba as timely, noting that the development would enhance military presence, improve intelligence gathering and ensure a faster response to security challenges in the region.
The PDP House of Representatives candidate commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the establishment of the division, stressing that security remains fundamental to sustainable development.
“The siting of the Army’s 10 Division headquarters in Taraba is timely. The establishment of the division will strengthen security operations and help tackle insecurity in Taraba and Adamawa states.
“I sincerely commend President Bola Tinubu for this initiative. I believe the development will improve military presence, intelligence gathering and rapid response to security issues in the region,” he said.
Galadima also assured constituents that the protection of lives and property would be one of his top priorities if elected into the House of Representatives in 2027.
He pledged to support initiatives aimed at enhancing security, expressing confidence that the new army division would boost public confidence and create a safer environment for socio-economic activities to flourish.
