The Security Situation Room has congratulated the retiring Officer-in-Charge of the Anti-Kidnapping Section of the Edo State Police Command, CSP Adekoye Ezekiel, on the completion of his 35-year career in the Nigeria Police Force.

In a statement signed by its Convener, Douglas Ogbankwa, the group described Adekoye as a disciplined and dedicated officer whose service was marked by professionalism, integrity and courage.
The organisation said the retiring officer had demonstrated exemplary conduct throughout his career and made significant contributions to the safety and security of Nigerians.
“As he bows out after 35 years of meritorious service, we celebrate his legacy of courage, leadership and service to the nation,” the statement said.
The group added, “We wish him God’s blessings, good health and greater accomplishments in his next phase of life.”
According to the statement, CSP Adekoye enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force as a Police Constable in 1991 before studying Law at Ambrose Alli University between 1995 and 2000. Following the completion of his degree, he was promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
During his career, he served in several strategic positions, including Personal Assistant to a Commissioner of Police, Legal and Prosecution Officer, Mobile Police (MOPOL) Unit Commander, Special Protection Unit (SPU) Commander, Escort Commander to a state governor, Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Tactical Team Commander of the Crack Team, and Officer-in-Charge of the Anti-Kidnapping Section.
The statement also noted that Adekoye was seconded to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) between 2018 and 2023, where he contributed to anti-corruption operations.
He served in several states across the country, including Lagos, Plateau (Jos), Anambra, Borno, Enugu, Rivers (Port Harcourt), Ekiti and Edo.
“CSP Adekoye Ezekiel retires with an unblemished record of service, leadership and dedication,” the statement added.
