The presidential aspirant for the upcoming election of the Nigeria Bar Association NBA, Oyinkansola Badejo Okunsanya SAN, on Wednesday said, she is contesting to reshape the bar practice to better the wellbeing of members.

Badejo stated during a campaign visit in Jalingo that, her ambition was inspired to address the conception that NBA is mostly private practitioner setting.
According to her, NBA was yet to address the fact that it’s membership were diverse beyond private practices. She assured that her two years will witness transformation that every member would be proud of.
The aspirant disclosed that her desire is to ensure a better welfare, protection and respect for lawyers.
“My desire is to reshape the bar to be much responsive for members. My ambition is geared towards, helping lawyers to earn better, helping lawyers to leave better and helping them to practice better.
“I have plans to restructure the bar. I will ensure that lawyers are protected and respected,” Badejo stated.
Earlier, Taraba state chief judge, Hon. justice Joel Agya, while wishing the aspirant success in the election, he urged her to ensure members unity across all chapters and a straighten the relationship between the bar and the Bench, if elected.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Jalingo bar, Dr. Philimon Saredau, assured the aspirant of his members support to emerge victorious in the election.
Other speakers including, the Solicitor general and permanent secretary ministry of Justice Taraba state, Barr. Sunday Ibrahim Maikerfi, Senior member of Jalingo bar, John Okeze, and Barr Ganki Nana Hassan, both assured the aspirant that the NBA in Taraba was totally in support of her ambition to become the next NBA president.
The Director-General of the campaign, Aminu Gadanya SAN, thanked members of the Jalingo bar for accepting Badejo Okunsanya as their preferred candidate for the upcoming NBA presidential election.
