The BREACH Initiative for Leadership Development paid several advocacy visits to key government officials to request partnership ahead of the 2026 International Youth Day.
The delegation was received by PC NEWMAP EB Dr. Shitu Whanda, Hon. Yusuf Abdu Kwadan, Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, and Hon. Dishi Kupto, Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, alongside other dignitaries from relevant MDAs.
The team also paid a courtesy and advocacy visit to Hajiya Aishatu Adamu Yaro, Chairperson of the Gombe State Internal Revenue Service, to seek support for youth-led initiatives on leadership and civic responsibility.
The visit was led by Comrade Abdul’azeez Sani Labaran, Team Lead of BREACH Initiative for Leadership Development, alongside Abubakar Waziri of Access Initiative, Yasir Aliyu Dala of F0YEA and representatives of other partner organizations.
During the engagements, BREACH Initiative formally requested collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs and other MDAs for the successful planning of the 2026 International Youth Day slated for Wednesday 12th August 2026.
The team also unveiled this year’s program “3 in 1” activity themed Empowering Young People for Sustainable, Leadership and Nation Building and pledged that the 2026 edition will be more impactful than previous years.
As part of proposed activities, BREACH Initiative said it will organize a Non-Conventional Security Groups Parade Competition at the Emir’s Palace, followed by a peaceful awareness procession from the Emir’s Palace to the Government House as well as Dinner and Award Night.
In their different remarks the government officials present welcomed the initiative and assured of their support toward youth development, leadership, and security awareness programs in the state.
They also emphasized that the initiative came at the right time and is in line with Governor Inuwa’s developmental agenda for the brighter future of our dear state and celebrating our young people talent and creativity
