Fellow Citizen, let us measure our leaders by what they say about blood.

“My reelection is not worth the blood of any Nigerian.” That was Jonathan, 56, in 2015. He lost power and chose peace over power. He proved democracy can be bigger than ego.

“All is fair in politics.” That is Tinubu, 80. At the top. National policy now. When the president says this, he licenses desperation. He tells thugs: carry on. He tells candidates: if you must, carry a gun. Osun is burning. Edo2024 was the rehearsal. Ballot boxes are called strategy. Rented youths are called structure.

“Kill opposition.” That is Fadahunsi, 74. Rough translation: finish the opposition. Not debate them. Not defeat them with ideas. Finish them. In a democracy.

Three ages. Three doctrines. One country.

Jonathan showed restraint is power. Tinubu says ruthlessness is power. Fadahunsi says elimination is power.

This is how far we have fallen in ten years. From “not worth any life” to “all is fair” to “kill opposition.”

Fools grow old too. Age did not bring them wisdom. Power did not bring them restraint. Position did not bring them patriotism.

And the price? We the people. Our children buried. Our elections turned to war zones. Our democracy turned to performance art in a graveyard.

Buhari broke the foundation with wander. Tinubu is painting the cracks gold with slogans. But “Renewed Hope” cannot grow where blood is the compost.

Until we reject this new creed, 2027 will bury Nigerians again.

Catastrophe plus affliction equals ruination.
