“How dare you, VDM, say that all those cows that are roaming the streets are based on money laundering? I have clients who have cows. They have specifics. They have nothing to do with government or anything whatsoever. You can verify them. I can provide their names for you.
I want VDM to show me one example—just one—of one of those roaming cows that is used for money laundering like he alleges.
That guy is someone who makes wild allegations without any kind of evidence whatsoever. And it’s a shame that the Nigerian Bar Association will invite such a person to come and address us.
Lawyers are not ordinary people. We don’t conform to the ordinary, and we are not to be seen to be listening to such a person, making allegations without proof.
So, I want to say very vehemently that inviting that man, who even has several cases against him, several arraignments in court, several suits on defamation and libel, is inappropriate. There is a reason the term “Fit and proper” is associated with law , we have boumdaries .
There is a man who brought a judgment against him online and said that he has the money to pay the judgment sum, but he will not pay, and that he will continue to file interlocutory applications and endless appeals to frustrate the enforcement of the judgment. That is man we are (dis)honouring.
