Nigerians supported your uncle’s re-election because of you. Your voice carried votes. Your network moved crowds. Your face gave hope to young people who believe culture can change politics.
Now Nigerians are saying something else, “Don’t use that network to visit and adore President Tinubu’s re-election.”
They are not asking you to fight. They are asking you to speak.
Speak for a Nigeria where the average citizen can raise their head high. A Nigeria where NEPA bill doesn’t swallow salary. Where fuel price doesn’t decide if a child eats. Where hospitals work and schools teach. Where a young man with talent does not have to “japa” to be respected.
Your influence is currency. And currency must be spent where it matters.
It is easy to stand with power. It is harder to stand with the people when power is not watching. But that is where legacy is built.
You sang “Assurance” to one person. Nigeria needs you to sing “Assurance” to 200 million people. Assurance that their vote counts. That their sweat matters. That this country can work for all, not just for the connected.
Use your voice. Use your platform. Use your network. Not for endorsement pictures. But for pressure. For accountability. For a country that works.
Because when artists choose silence, politicians choose impunity. And when artists choose the people, nations begin to change.
