History has a way of repeating itself, but with different actors.
The script is familiar: Goliath walks in with armor, height, and an army behind him. David walks in with faith, a sling, and a people behind him.
In Osun2026, the actors changed, but the story did not.
Goliath came dressed in paraphernalia. Senate President with full convoy. SIXTEEN governors who abandoned their states. Abuja jets, Abuja money, Abuja messaging. The message was clear: “Osun, fall in line.” It was federal might trying to decide a state will.
David came with no “near platform.” Gov. Ademola Adeleke had no presidential jet. No block of governors. No federal allocation on parade. He had market women, artisans, students, Social Media platforms, and the memory of 2022. He had Osun’s platform.
And David prevailed.
Would it be out of place to say David defeated Goliath in Osun2026? It would not. Because when instructions meet PVCs, PVCs speak. When paraphernalia meets conviction, conviction wins.
To the Presidency: Exonerate the President, but reform the Presidency. Don’t reduce the office to a campaign bus. Respect federalism.
To Senate and Governors: Go home and win your states.
To Gov. Adeleke: Victory without Abuja is responsibility without excuses. Deliver roads, jobs, and transparency.

To Osun: You guarded the will. Edo2024 taught us to guard the vote.
Thank God today is Sunday. Hallelujah. The stone has flown again.
