I woke up this morning in nostalgia with Fela Kuti phrase in one of his albums, “Beasts of no nation, Egbe ti gbe na bad society.” This is not defeatist rather, your guess is as good as mine.

“Severe, irreparable harm will be done to me if Chicago University releases my records.”

Those are the words of the President of Nigeria, begging a U.S Senior Judge to keep his files sealed.

When salt loses its value, what is it good for except to be trampled upon? How did Nigeria, and Nigerians, get here?

The President of Nigeria, the largest Black nation on earth, is pleading with the United States of America not to release his alleged FBI criminal drug files. Let that sink in.

Nigeria is not just a Rwanda, South Africa, or Ghana. Nigeria is the cynosure giant of Africa and the metropolis of the global Black race on earth. Our flag is carried by over 200 million people and by 1.5 billion Black people who look to us for dignity, not pity.

This exhibition is not just a Nigerian shame nor an African humiliation. It strikes a devastatingly colossal blow to universal Black pride. From Philadelphia to Benin, from London to Pretoria the question is the same: Is this the best we can produce?

Leadership is not about power. It is about example. It is about records you are proud to open, not files you beg to hide. A nation that hides its leader’s past cannot inspire its children’s future.

The universal Black population must urgently rise with collective resolve. In 2027, we must Sever Bola Tinubu from continuing in this distinguished role as President of Nigeria and the face of the universal Black population.

Nigeria must never be the death of Blacks. Nigeria must be the rebirth of Black excellence.

Our dignity is not negotiable. Our history is not for sale. And our presidency is not for secrets.
