Nigerian politics is a theater of debt, memory, and betrayal.

Jagaban introduced Atiku to the Ooni as Vice President. When Obasanjo was hounding him in Abuja, Jagaban gave him sanctuary in Lagos. When Obasanjo expelled him from PDP, Jagaban built AC in 2007 and made Atiku its Presidential candidate.

We were also told the other side of the story. That Atiku as Vice President helped Tinubu when Obasanjo withheld Lagos State local government allocation. That Atiku stood with Tinubu during his CCB matters.

So the question on the lips of every Nigerian today is simple: who is the traitor between Atiku and Tinubu?

This is what happens when politics is built on personal favors instead of national interest. Yesterday’s ally becomes today’s rival. Yesterday’s savior becomes today’s accuser. Both men have helped each other. Both men have also hurt each other. Both have used each other to climb.

The tragedy is that Nigeria is the collateral damage. While these gladiators fight over loyalty and ingratitude, the people are left with bad roads, insecurity, and a collapsing economy.

Wallahi, Allah will judge. He sees every secret meeting, every handshake, and every knife in the back. No man escapes that court.

Until we stop worshipping men and start demanding institutions, we will keep asking “who betrayed who” instead of “who is serving Nigeria.”

Let this be a lesson to the next generation: in politics, loyalty without principle is slavery. And principle without loyalty is suicide.
