The Secretary to the Gombe State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has paid a condolence visit to his colleague, Prof. David Bwala, over the death of his wife, Wastilpi David Bwala.

Njodi, who was in Maiduguri, Borno State, for an official engagement, visited the bereaved family to commiserate with them over the death of the 62-year-old woman.

Describing the death as painful and devastating, the SSG urged Bwala and his children to accept the loss as the will of God.

Njodi said, “The death of a wife and mother is indeed sad and devastating. At a time like this, we can only submit to the will of God and draw strength from the knowledge that from dust we came and unto dust we shall return.”

He encouraged the bereaved family to remain strong, saying the deceased would be remembered for her peaceful disposition, Christian faith and commitment to serving God and humanity.

Njodi said, “She was a woman of peace and a devoted Christian who lived a life of service to God and humanity. I urge you to remain strong and take solace in the good memories she left behind.”

Responding on behalf of the family, Bwala expressed appreciation to the SSG for making time to visit despite his busy official schedule.

He said, “We sincerely appreciate Prof. Njodi for finding time, despite his tight schedule, to come and identify with us at this difficult moment. His visit means a lot to the family.”

Bwala prayed God to bless and reward the SSG for his gesture.

Prayers were offered for the repose of the deceased’s soul and for God to comfort and strengthen the family.
