The Coalition of Northern Taraba, also known as Iliya Kefas Alhaji, on Sunday said the efforts of President Bola Tinubu and Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas in the areas of security and education inspired its decision to endorse them for a second term.
Convener of the coalition, Hon. Iliya Kefas, stated this during the endorsement event in Jalingo, noting that the Tinubu and Kefas administrations had transformed Taraba in both physical and human development, which he said had previously been major challenges facing the state.
The convener also said the developmental policies and programmes of Tinubu and Kefas were positively impacting the lives of ordinary citizens in Taraba.
Others who spoke at the event, including Elder Adamu Big Man, Victoria Markus and Hon. Robert Bukar, reaffirmed their commitment to grassroots mobilisation for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Kefas.
They said the Tinubu administration had proven to be progressive-minded and was committed to transforming Nigeria and improving its position in the global community.
“For us in the northern part of Taraba, we are totally behind President Tinubu and Governor Agbu Kefas. Their re-election is our major concern in the 2027 election.
“This decision is not about politics; it is about the services they have so far rendered in their first term. We want them to continue and make our society a better place for the younger generation,” the Taraba North Coalition said.
