Diary meets Pst. David Omotilewa
We have listened to great remarks about you. How many years in the service of God?
Smiles, I thank God Almighty who has kept us thus far. The lord has been so good since 1992 to now that am standing here.
How has it been serving across Nigeria?
The lord has been so good, we have served in the South, East, North and so on. The lord has been merciful, his grace has been sustaining us, myself and my family. I won’t say more than that.
To Young people looking up to you in the work of God, what will be your advise to them?
Well, i will advise them to fear God, according to (Prov. 11 vs 27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him) if they walk with God and fear him their lives will be decorated on the last day. As brothers and sisters in the vineyard they should fear God.
After listening to good testimonies about you as a pastor, and as an individual how did you feel?
I simply gave thanks to God, I just said lord it is not me. It is the grace of God that has sustained us through the help and cooperation of my wife and children. They have been so good in making the task easier.
What was that most stressful activity you usually embarked on while here in Gombe?
Travelling, sometimes I come back in the night around 11pm. Going far in the search of my parishes to know their wellbeing. Our Father in the lord here (pastor Wayas) was helpful whenever I want to embark on such journey I usually get his consent and prayers.
What is that one gift that will gladen your heart most, as the church celebrates your exit to another post?
Prayers, I don’t need anything else, aside from prayers!
