According to a press statement which was made available to our correspondent by the information officer, office of the secretary to the State Government, Joshua Danmalam, which reads partly.

Gombe state government  is to ensure effective Primary Health Care delivery as it considers automatic employment for graduates of college of Nursing Gombe.

Prof Njodi noted that health care delivery remains one of the major concerns of government and everything is being done to ensure all it’s components are adequately addressed manpower inclusive. “I congratulate you all that are matriculating today and I urge you to   justify  your admission by reading  hard to successfully graduate.

“Government intends to  establish health centres in each of the 114 electoral Ward of the state. As you know manpower  is paramount. I therefore challenge

management and staff to remain committed and focused”.

Meanwhile the Provost of the college Dr Pauline JK Doka, warned that the school has no place for laxity and truancy advising the students to focus on their studies if they are to make it in the nursing profession
