Secretary to the Gombe State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi on Wednesday, assured Awak Community of the support the Governor Inuwa Yahaya led administration.
He restated the assurance of government when he played host to the leadership and members of Awak Community Development Association in his office.
According to a press statement made available by Joshua Danmalam, Information Officer SSG’s office, Njodi noted with concern the infrastructural deficit in the community to include lack of Electricity, Health and Educational facilities, Court and upgrade of Political structures.
The SSG further assured that he will liaise with the relevant Ministries to determine the possibilities of establishing and providing these services for the benefit of the people.
Speaking earlier, the National Chairman of Awak Community Development Association, Alhaji Abdulhameed Mohammed Dangombe, appreciated the State government under Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for it’s commitment to transform the State.
Abdulhameed also noted with delight the appointments of Son’s and Daughter’s of the area into high Government Positions citing Women Affairs Commissioner, a Director General and Chairman of the state Independent Electoral Commission SEIC.
The Community Development Association while thanking the Governor for the Road Project however, appealed to the State Government to provide the area with electricity,Tertiary institution, Health and Education institutions to enhance Development of human capital.
