Following the announcement of the governor of Ekiti State Kayode Fayemi, Private Schools in Ekiti State have resolved to adjust school calendar for the new academic structure adopted in the state.
According to the State Secretary of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) Mr. Dada Lawrence, fifty per cent of school fees should be collected from students resuming on 21st Sept., and 28th Sept.(I.e.Pry.5,JSS 3,SSS 2 and Pry.3,4 & JSS2 & SSS 1.
Lawrence stated this during a media chat organised by NAPPS in Ekiti state.
He said, “That there would be no third term for pupils in KG and Nur.1 classes.They will resume back to school in November for new session.
“Full school fees should be collected for first term,2020/2021.
“Promotion examination for all classes is a must for all private schools in Ekiti State.”
While calling for the cooperation on the payment of N200 Naira for the collection of certificates of primary 6 students, from the Area Education Officer, Lawrence added “That the FRSC COVID-19 protocols on school buses must be followed. Proprietors are however advised to use their discretion on whether to use school buses or not.”
