Gombe Gov’s press crew involved in auto crash, as driver is confirmed dead

The press crew, Convoy of the Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, was involved in an accident, on Thursday.
Periscope Nigeria gathered the ghastly accident left some passengers injured, while the driver Babangida Tuta died on the spot.
The crew was on it way back from Bauchi, venue of the recently held North East Governor’s Forum, where governors deliberated on issues affecting the region.
Investigation revealed that the accident occurred around Bara, along Bauchi/Gombe Expressway, Governor Yahaya had waited until the causality, and the injured were evacuated before continuing his journey back to Gombe state.
Confirming the incident, Special Assistant to the Governor, on Social Media, Abdul NoShaking through a condolence message said, “God has called Hon. Babangida Tuta to glory, through accident on his way back from Northeast Governor’s meeting held in Bauchi.
“He will be buried tomorrow, Friday by 10am in the morning. Let’s pray for repose of the soul of the deceased and quick recovery for the injured.
Meanwhile, Director General Press Affairs Government House Ismaila Misilli, photographer, reporters of the state owned media organization are currently receiving treatment at the specialist hospital, following injuries sustained.
