Wife of Gombe State Governor, Asma’u Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, has called on residents of Gombe State to co-exist peacefully with one another, adding that no meaningful development could be achieved in an unhealthy and chaotic environment.
The first lady made the call on Thursday, during this year’s Eid-EL Fitr celebration, which she described as more peaceful when compared to last year’s indoor moments characterised by COVID-19 pandemic, especially to the lives spared by ALLAH to witness this all important day.
Hajiya Asma’u Yahaya said, “Following the completion of one month fast, which is a special joyous period that needs joint prayers, as brothers and sisters.
“So the need to be more patient and tolerant with one another for peace and development to continue to strive in our dear State Gombe.”
While stressing the need for women to pay close attention to the wellbeing of their children, Yahaya urged them to scrutinize the company they relate with.
“To my dear fellow women, we should be very cautious of our children’s whereabouts and the company of friends they keep in this trying times of high level of moral decadence and insecurity bedeviling the world.
“Therefore, as i wish you well on this happy sallah occasion , modesty and piety as well as security imperatives should be our watch words,” Yahaya added.
