Covid-19: Gombe NYSC tests 256 officials, 300 PCMs, says no positive case
No fewer than 256 officials managing activities in Gombe NYSC orientation camp have been tested for coronavirus with none showing symptoms of Covid-19.
Also, about 300 batch B stream 1 Prospective Corps Members (PCMs), have already taken the test.
The three weeks orientation exercise commenced this Tuesday, in Amada, Akko LGA in Gombe and would last till August 16, 2021.
Periscope Nigeria gathered that the expected number of prospective corps members in the camp is 1,750, and the exercise would continue till Friday.
The Public Relations Officer and Head of Press Margaret Dakama, confirmed to our correspondent that there are no positive cases at the moment, adding that the process would continue till Friday.
“About 256 camp officials underwent the Covid 19 Rapid Diagnostic Test and 300 prospective Corps members.
“The 300 corps members have been vaccinated. So far , no positive case and Registration will last till Friday 30th July, 2021,” Dakama said.
