MTN partners Gombe Gov’t to provide mobile clinic
Gombe State Government says it has collaborated with MTN to provide mobile treatment van for market women, and residents of the state.
Speaking during the handover of the van, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya lauded the efforts of the private firm in priotising the health of the people.
According to the Governor, the health sector is highly challenged, following the growing demands by the citizens.
He said, “I wish to thank you most profoundly onbehalf of the people and government of Gombe State for this wonderful initiative. You are fully aware that the health sector in Nigeria among those that is highly challenged.
“Interms of meeting the demands of our people and in that regards you are pursuing the cause for us to deliver quality healthcare to our people and it is worth appreciating.”
Speaking earlier, Commissioner of Health Dr. Habu Dahiru said this partnership would help the state cater for citizens health at both the primary and secondary level.
“Especially within communities and our markets. Today, marks a milestone in our quest to provide healthcare to the door steps of our people the MTN yellow doctor was conceived with the view that communities be given the chance receive basic healthcare, basic testing and immunisation,” Dahiru said
On his part, Hanson Thliza, Senior Lead Sales & Trade Development of MTN said this is part of the company’s effort at ensuring development of the people, adding that it is a gesture geared towards the common good residents.
He added that this is the third face of the organisation’s intervention in the wellbeing of the people of Nigeria.
