Shongom APC poised more than ever – Gombe SSG
The Secretary to the State Government Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Shongom Local Government is poised more than ever to make Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya proud in appreciation of massive infrastructural projects being executed by the State Government.
Speaking at Pero-Chonge APC Family meeting of critical stakeholders aimed at mobilising unity among party supporters to attract more members, Njodi expressed happiness despite recent development that members have remained resolute in their support to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s leadership.

The SSG therefore informed the APC followership and the entire people of Shongom LGA and Pero -Chonge Constituency in particular that in addition to the ongoing Billiri-Filiya road rehabilitation, Governor Yahaya will soon flag off the Gwandum-Gundale-Daja road in fulfillment of his campaign promise to the people.
He also disclosed that government has concluded plan for the upgrade of the Cottage hospital Filiya to a General hospital status to carter for the secondary health needs of the populace.
Also, Majority Leader Gombe State House of Assembly, Yerima Ladan Gaule and APC Zonal vice chairman,Gombe South Musa Hassan Wali in their remarks encouraged the party supporters not to be deterred by the resignation of the house member representing them from the party but rather see it as an opportunity to rally support preparatory to coming elections.
In their respective comments, Chairman Shongom Local Government Council Mr.Yohanna Nahari and Deputy Chief of Staff (South) Mamman Alkali assured of their unflinching support to APC leadership under the Governor.
They also appealed to the party supporters to remain calm, united and stand firm in their believe in the APC as they are better placed politically in the party.

Earlier, Njodi was at the central mosque Kaltungo to witness the wedding Fatiha of daughter to Permanent Member, House of Assembly Service Commission Abubakar Dantata and siblings of Babangida Hukuma, Sale and Maryam, Hamza and Habiba as well as Isa and Sumaiyya.
The three marriages were contracted by Liman Muhammad Isa after the payment of fifty thousand naira dowry for each of the brides.
While congratulating the couples Njodi admonished them to remain steadfast in their marital vows, urging them to believe in Allah for all their needs and to eschew all forms of misunderstandings towards ensuring lasting relationship.
Special prayers were offered for Allah to bless the couples as they begin new life.
