Take orientation course seriously – Gombe NYSC Coordinator tells PCMs
The 2022 Batch A Stream I Prospective Corps Members (PCMs), deployed to Gombe State have been advised to take the Orientation Course seriously in order to be equipped physically and intellectually for the task ahead.
That assertion was made known by the State Coordinator NYSC Gombe Mrs Ada Imoni, during the briefing of Prospective Corps members at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Amada, Gombe State.

She maintained that the Orientation Course, being the first of the four cardinal Programmes of the Scheme was the bedrock of the service year, where Corps members are refined and fully equipped for nation building.
Speaking on adherence to the Covid 19 safety protocols, Imoni, urged those who have not taken the vaccination to make up their minds to do so as arrangements have been concluded with Primary Health care Development Agency to come into camp to vaccinate those that did not take the vaccine . ” Use your facemask regularly,make use of the hand wash facilities and observe social distancing among other safety protocols,” she maintained.
While speaking on security, the State Coordinator advised them to mingle and interact well with their roommates and platoon members as that would help to identify suspicious persons . She also warned them against allowing Camp market operators into their hostels . ” While I call on the security Agencies to carry out their assigned duties, security is everyone’s business ” she added
Speaking on their welfare ,Mrs Imoni, said the Consultants from Federal Teaching Hospital would be on camp 24 hours to man the Camp clinic and attend to Corps members. She maintained that Corps members starting with the 2022 Batch A Corps members have been enrolled into the National Health Insurance Scheme in order to attend to their medical needs.
Mrs Ada Imoni, while Speaking on the need to respect constituted authority, gave Stern warning on the abuse of the social media platforms to channel grievances and also granting interviews to the press. “Anyone caught granting interviews to the press or using the social media to channel grievances will be dealt with in accordance to the NYSC Act and Bye-laws.
