Gombe delegate gifts constituents car, fertilizer, others
A delegate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing Pindiga ward from Gombe State, Saleh Ahmad on Saturday, gifted his constituents valuables.
Ahmad was among the 34 national delegates that represented the state in Abuja during the party’s primary that produced the former governor of Lagos State Bola Tinubu as standard bearer.
Our correspondent reports that Ahmad is the first among delegates in the state to show magnanimity to his constituents after the Presidential primary election in Abuja.
According to a facebook post, the delegate who holds a traditional title of Danmasanin Pindiga lauded the governor Muhammadu Yahaya for choosing him to participate as delegate.
He said, “Today I was able to disburse N20,000 to 150 individuals, out of which some got N20,000, N10,000, N5,000, N30,000 and N50,000. Some of them were empowered with fertilizer, others with motorcycle. One of my personal assistants who is also an aide of Inuwa action group received a Mercedes Benz as an empowerment.”
Ahmad added, “What i did was part of what was realised from APC primary as a national delegates representing Pindiga ward Akko Local Government Area of Gombe. I want to appreciate the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Dan Manjen of Gombe for the opportunity to serve as delegate.”
Attempts made by our correspondent to contact the delegate on the purpose of the disbursement proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.
