Gombe Govt honours retired Judge of the Federal High Court Justice Musa Haruna Kurya
The Gombe State Government has honoured one of its own, Justice Musa Haruna Kurya who recently retired from the Federal High Court after reaching the statutory years of retirement.

The Valedictorian was honoured on Thursday, at a valedictory dinner in the Banquet Hall, Government House Gombe after a valedictory court session in the Court Complex.
The dinner was attended by the State Deputy Governor representing the Governor of Gombe State Alh. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, and top echelon of the Federal High Court.
In a goodwill message the Deputy Governor, Manassah Daniel Jatau, congratulated the celebrant for serving the country meritoriously to the time of his retirement.

He said, it has always been the hope of every worker to retire honourably after putting long years of service, but was quick to add that, retirement does not mean that one can no longer contribute to humanity.
The Deputy Governor pointed out that, in Nigeria there has never been a university that has sufficient staff, appealing to the retiree to engage in voluntary service to humanity through offering himself to lecture in the university.
He called on the court of appeal to consider developing their plot of land which is still laying fallow so as not to be occupied by pest .
In his remarks the chief Judge of the Federal High Court Hon. Justice J.T Tsoho represented by the Hon. Justice Binta Nyako congratulated Hon. Justice Musa Haruna Kurya for successful retirement.
Justice Nyako also led the cutting of the cake and presented the retired Judge with gifts.
Goodwill messages came from the Presiding Judge of Appeal Gombe, Honourable Justice Hannatu Sankey, Chief Judge of Gombe State, Justice Joseph Ahmed Awak, Former Chief Judge of the Federal High Court and Prof. Salisu Ali Rakum of the Federal University Kashere respectively who lauded the resilient, and humble qualities of the celebrant, congratulating him for successful service to Nigeria and humanity.
The Honourable Commissioner health, Dr. Habu Dahiru, and the Presiding Judge of Court of Appeal Justice Hannatu Sankey, proposed a toast for Federal Republic of Nigeria, Judiciary and Gombe State, wishing the Judiciary, Gombe State and Nigeria the best.

The event featured display of cultural dances by Laku ‘Cultural Group, Ngwarda Dancers, Tula and Sassa Ture Cultural Troupes, and Kainuwa Dashen Allah Drama Group as the guests were treated to a sumptuous meal.
