‘Set up Desk Offices’, GoHealth urges Healthcare Providers
As part of its quality improvement plan, the Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (GoHealth), has held an emergency meeting with Healthcare providers.

The meeting was aimed at addressing challenges faced in the course of executing the GoHealth Scheme.
Speaking at the 2-day meeting for all health care providers of the scheme, the Agency’s Team Lead Dr. Abubakar Musa, urged the providers to step-up their services to beneficiaries.
He decried out-of-stock complaints and service denial of some services that are covered by the scheme.
The Agency recommended to the providers to set-up a GoHealth Desk office as opposed to the ‘Desk Officers’ platform previously adopted by the providers, which should have more than one staff, so all beneficiaries coming to access healthcare services would be given the necessary attention and care.
He also called on the facilities to regularly hold symposiums for their staff where they would go over the GoHealth benefit package, so as not to ignorantly turn down services that are covered, or give services that are not covered under the scheme.
The Agency also encouraged healthcare providers to find a way to motivate the staff of the various cost centres in the facilities, as it would enable the staff to work more effectively.
The seminar also featured questions and answer sessions.
