Gombe Gov doles out 200 Saudi riyals each to pilgrims in holy land

The largeness of heart of Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has been extended to the pilgrims in the holy land by doling out 200 Saudi Riyals to each of the pilgrims performing the 2022 Hajj exercise as Sallah gifts on Saturday.

Recall that over 114 million naira was given to the All Progressives Congress members for Sallah celebrations in the state.
Apart from these Sallah gifts (Goro Sallah) to people irrespective of political affiliation in the spirit of love, sacrifice and unity of purpose, the Governor promised to bring hope and good leadership to the people of the state.
According to a report from Hauwa Mohammed to newsmen in Gombe, the Executive Secretary of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alh Sa’adu Hassan Adamu, called on the State Pilgrims to reciprocate the gesture by offering special prayers on this special day of Eid Adhan to the State and the Country at large.
He appreciated the gestures of the Governor and promised that the pilgrims should bring good and make sure they offer special prayers for the Gombe State for the forthcoming general election in the state and county for peace and harmony to prevail during and after the election.
In another development, the wife of Governor Yahaya has called for unity in diversity and urged the pilgrims to know it is a season of sacrifice, caring and sharing, forgiveness and togetherness, for peace and developmental growth.
Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya called on Muslim faithfuls to ensure that the sacrificial meat was shared eventfully so that the less-privileged and pilgrims would benefit.
In the statement made available to newsmen in Gombe by Bintu Aliyu Sunmonu, Senior Special Assistant to the First Lady explained that the religious obligations of giving to the needy no matter how little would thereby help in putting smiles on their faces of people especially at the feast day, that God gives you joy , contentment and replenishes ones wealth.
“Dr.Asma’u Inuwa also appreciated Gombe State women, for being resolute in the pursuit of their socio-economics goals, to support their families as well as contribute to the growth and development of not only Gombe state, but Nigeria as a whole,” the statement partly read.
According to her, “I am thrilled to see your potentials as better managers of homes and your doggedness to becoming economically empowered and self reliant , thus my resolve to continue working together and supporting you achieve such educational and socioeconomic skills, potentials fully deserved.”
She appreciated her husband, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for giving the women, who are great assets of development ,a level playing field,to realize their dreams and contribute to nation building.
She appealed to them in the spirit of the season to team up, support and embrace each other through thick and thin,so that together, they can achieve their common goals in fighting moral decadence, financial and social insecurity in the homes, communities, states and the country at large.
