Gombe Deputy Gov mourns demise of retired Educationist, Amos Asimin Dala

The Gombe State Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, has joined the entire people of Waja and family of Late Mr. Amos Asimin Dala, to mourn his death of elder statesman who passed on.

The Deputy Governor was at ECWA Church Bagadaza in the Metropolis, venue of the funeral service where tributes were paid to the deceased before his remains were committed to mother earth at Christian Burial ground, along Bajoga Road.

He conveyed the heartfelt sympathies of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Government and people of Gombe State to the family, the Church and entire Waja people over the great loss of papa Amos.
Speaking at the funeral ceremony as contained in the statement sent by Jack Tasha Senior Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor, Jatau extolled the virtues of the deceased as a person that remained dedicated to the course of his family, Waja Community, the Church and humanity.

He said, the deceased who had been an Educationist for his entire lifetime has contributed greatly in the sector leaving behind great legacies worthy of emulation.
The Deputy Governor who is also the President, Waja Progressive Association conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the Waja Community to the family and appreciated all those who identified with them in their moment of bereavement.
He noted that, Nigeria is passing through difficult times occasioned by mysterious deaths , pointing out that, ” these are times when people lay hands on their dead relatives and accorded them befitting burials is worthy of appreciation to God.
In his sermon, Pastor Habila Layi Cham explained that, perfect comfort comes from God alone, urging the family to look up to God for comfort.
Taking his text from Psalms chapter 116 verse 15, the clergyman admonished the family and the Church to mourn but not weep to the point of sinning against God, stressing that the Bible assures that the death of a Christian leads to eternal rest.
Those who paid tribute to the deceased at the funeral service include deceased Wife, Mrs Ruth Amos, Brother, Mr. Simon Dala, friend, Alh. Halilu Bauche Galadima and Rev. Adamu Ngurkuma who extolled the virtues of the deceased, describing him as a patient, humble and committed person while alive calling on the people to emulate him.
They said they have accepted the demise of their loved ones as the perfect plan of God for the late Amos and the family, calling for prayers for the family.
They appreciated the multitude of sympathisers who identified with them from the treatment to the funeral, praying God to reward them abundantly.
The deceased was until his death a retired Educationist who served the nation in various capacities as school teacher, principal, education administrator amongst others. He left behind his wife, children, grandchildren and relations too numerous to mention.
