Lawmaker sends food aid to Lapandintai, as displaced persons commence resettlement
Lawmaker representing Pero-Chonge constituency in Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Samuel Markus Wina, has sent food aid to Lapandintai community.

This was sequel to a clash that left hundreds of persons displaced and millions of Naira worth of property and cash destroyed.

According to Nigeria Police Force, Gombe Police Command about three persons died from the attack.

Periscope Nigeria reports that the crises began about a week ago, has so far been curtailed due to the timely intervention of security agencies.
The Lawmaker speaking through a delegation sent to the village, called for peace and forgiveness.
He urged all families to forgive and see that they stay in peace with each other, “as Lapandintai is an area with over five ethnic groups, and they all must learn to live in harmony.”
He also prayed that God should comfort the families and give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
