Gov Yahaya, OBJ, Shettima, Njodi others attend UniMaid Special Convocation

The Secretary to Gombe State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, was in company of his principal Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, to witness the special convocation ceremony and the conferment of honorary doctorate degree on oil magnate, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi by the University of Maiduguri.

Indimi an acclaimed international business mogul and an ally to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is widely acknowledged for his act of philanthropy especially as it relates to the development of Nigeria’s Education sector.
For Yahaya, it was that time to stand by his friend and partner who was recognised by the University for his excellent service to humanity in general.
However, for Njodi, it was a moment of joy considering his eventful tenure as the immediate past Vice chancellor of the premier University characterised by uncommon physical and intellectual development despite Boko Haram insurgency which was at it’s peak but demonstrated capacity and unshaken resilience by ensuring that academic activities in University remained uninterrupted.
It was also on record that as the Vice Chancellor, the University was at the peak of the Boko Haram insurgency, Professor Njodi’s administrative dexterity in keeping the University open even in the face of existential threats would no doubt go into the annals of history as one who came, saw and conquered.
Among dignitaries who attended the event were former President Olusegun Obasanjo, APC Vice Presidential Candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, the Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba among others.
