Kwankwaso Receives Mailantarki’s ‘Double-Champions’ Boys
… Commends Honourable Khamisu Mailantarki for sponsoring the lads to International Youth Football Tourneys In Europe
The New Nigeria People’s Party Presidential Candidate and National leader of the party Eng. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso Sunday received the glorious contingent of Mailantarki Care Football Club at his Maitama resident in Abuja.
Kwankwaso was highly delighted to meet with the boys who made the country proud in the European nations recently by clinching two International trophies, Dana Cup in Denmark and the World’s largest Youth Championship in Oslo, Norway in a single trip, a record achieved only by the highly spirited Mailantarki lads.

On the capacity of the club owner to deliver, the Leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement worldwide affirmed thus
“I’m not surprised seeing these huge successes here today knowing fully the Chairman of the club Hon Mailantarki is somebody who I know very well with a lot of capacity, determination, and commitment on whatever he decides to do,” as he rounded up by wishing the team more success in all its outings ahead.
While thanking his mentor for receiving the glorious team, the club owner Hon Khamisu Mailantarki stated that the main purpose of the visit is to present the International Youth Championship trophies won recently in both Dana Cup and Norway Cup in the cities of Hjørring and Oslo respectively.
“His Excellency Sir I stand before you to present these two trophies that were won recently by the team, the Dana Cup in Denmark and the second one Norway Cup in Norway.
“Most of the players you see here are the youth we recruited across Nigerian streets who have talents in the game of football and all we did was to blend them through our technical team headed by Coach Manu Garba before sponsoring them to the International championship with the bid to secure clubs for their respective career development,
“His Excellency we copied from your kind gestures of helping the citizens in various walks of life not minding the level of their respective family backgrounds, we have a lot of talented boys out there, and without a platform like this most of them will end off wasting their potentials hence the main purpose of establishing the Academy and as it is now within a year we are able to achieve a lot in terms of securing European clubs for our identified talents and more are in the pipeline following the remarkable outing we had in recent international competitions”.
In his remark, Coach Manu Garba OON, multiple gold medalists international gaffer who is the club technical director appreciated Dr. Kwankwaso for identifying with the stunning squad that put out their best and set a remarkable record for winning both trophies with an unbeaten performance for the first time in the history of the competitions, he further commended the club Chairman Hon Mailantarki for his unalloyed support for the development of the academy
“This is the first time we have gotten an individual (Mailantarki) to pay his money to sponsored 30 man contingent to two countries, and the continent didn’t disappoint, we are able to conquer the world and created history of winning the two trophies, Dana and Norway Cups respectively.”
The brief colorful event rounded off with a photo session moment after Kwankwaso was decorated with the winners’ medals of both trophies by the club’s President Khamisu Mailantarki.
Other dignitaries present during the event are Mailantarki’s running mate in Gombe State 2023 guber race, Alhaji Hamma Abubakar (Sardaunan Bare), NNPP stalwart Ex Law maker Hon Abdulmumini Jibrin, NNPP Gombe State Chairman Hon Abdullahi Maikano, Hon Sabiu Sidi, Hon Adamu Gargajiga among others.
