Bitterness is a deep painful emotional hurt or grudge that results in hatred. This could be as a result of an offense that has been committed against you, a feeling that God abandoned you or born out of sheer insecurity.

Anyone who is bitter has allowed pain or wickedness to overwhelm their soul, and that is why the pain of bitterness is very deep and always yarns for revenge.

Though your reasons may be justified, whether you express it or not it would drown you. While to err is human and to forgive is devine, it takes more than this statement for some one who is bitter to heal. This is because bitterness is an emotional injury.

Bitterness is a Burden, and many I mean very many have lost their lives, peace, jobs, homes and even relationship to it, and you don’t have to walk that path. I do not speak as one who has apprehended, but rather as one who have been helped.

Be that as it may, you can over come if you understand that forgiveness and healing is more spiritual than physical. Pray through your pain until you heal. Make Positive confessions and affirmation in an audible manner. Lastly when you remember feel free to express your emotions in a positive way like crying, writing, singing, going on a vacation etc.

Never use revenge as a way of expressing bitterness, for even if your soul feels satisfied posterity would surely speak against you.

You will survive.
