Why Federal College of Horticulture Student researched RIFAN Special Project in Gombe
A final year student of Federal College of Horticulture Dadinkowa, Gombe State, Mardiya Abubakar Nepa, has given reasons why she opted to take a research in RIFAN Special Project.
Nepa said her research was geared towards assessing the impact of the Project on the development of the rice farming value chain in Yamaltu/Deba Local Government in Gombe State.

According to her, the main objective of the research was to access the impact of the RIFAN Special Project on rice farming chain in Yamaltu/Deba.
She said, “While specific objectives of the study are to describe the socio-economic characteristics of the correspondence in the areas and to examine the effect of RIFAN Special Project on productivity of beneficiaries of the Rice farmers in the study area.”
Nepa further highlighted how her research identified the RIFAN Special Project under the leadership of Alh. Abubakar Muhammad Bello, has impacted the lives of rice farmers in Yamaltu/Deba, “it has empowered them financially and technically in modern rice farming practice,” the Researcher added.
That is great achievement both the RIFAN, College, Local, state and federal government and the community at large
