3rd Tangale Waja Summit: Gombe SSG speaks on Gov Yahaya’s Scorecard
The Secretary to the Gombe State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has implored Tangale Waja (Gombe South), communities to rally support for Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s re-election in reciprocation to his infrastructural and human capital development in the area.
Njodi, who gave the admonition while speaking as guest speaker at third Tangale Waja Community Development Associations Leaders Forum Political Summit held at Kwalam Hotel Billiri,
Periscope Nigeria reports that the summit gave Njodi, the opportunity to present the scorecard of the governor.
He said the Senatorial zone has witnessed unprecedented infrastructural and human capital development in roads, education, health, agriculture and multiple key appointments into various governance positions.

Represented by the Director-General Bureau for Public Service Reform, Alhaji Yusuf Daudu Kaltungo, Njodi cited the construction of road linking Northern and Southern Balanga, Cham-Mona in Balanga LGA, Ture-Dogon Ruwa- Gelengu road in Kaltungo and Balanga LGAs, Bambam- Tula Yiri road, Lawiltau-Sanani-Ayaba-road in Biliri LGA and the ongoing Filiya- Gundale as well as repairs of Boh-Lalaipido roads in Shongom LGA gulping billions of naira.
The SSG also cited the renovation and construction of functional Primary Health Care Centres in the 40 wards of Gombe South in addition to upgrade of Snakebite Research Hospital as well as remodelling of General Hospital Kaltungo among other interventions in the health Sector.
“In Education sector the Governor declared a state of emergency, Primary Schools were renovated, new ones constructed, a Mega Secondary School esterblished in the zone among other interventions such as fencing of the Government Girls Secondary School Tula,” he said.
Other areas of the Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya administration’s intervention according to Njodi was the empowerment of the people whom are predominantly farmers in the provision of farm inputs such as fertilizer, insecticides, pesticides at subsidised prices and other efforts being made to make both Balanga and Cham Dams economically beneficial to the people.
In the area of human capital development, he added, “for the first time the people were considered for key appointments into government key positions as the SSG, Chairman SUBEB, Chairperson TSC, Commissioners’ of key ministries, Special Advisers, Director-Generals, among others.”
He maintained that Yahaya has lived up to his social contract with the people of the state when he sought their mandate in 2019 by fulfilling almost 80% of his campaign promises.
The Chairman of the forum Dr. Hassan Langa Bangunji had earlier explained that it was formed by the need to provide political office seekers to interface with the representatives of the fifteen communities to guide in making informed decisions during elections.
