Gombe Gov inspects School of Nursing, gives contractor December completion date
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has inspected level of work in school of Nursing and Midwifery, describing the level of work as 60 -65 percent, with a marching order for the project to be completed by December.
Yahaya, who also inaugurated the barricade built by his administration to control vehicular movement around bypass in Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, said it was following the incessant accident the route.
According to the Governor, if plans and schedules are followed there are indications that the next admission would be processed in the new site, adding that the college movement to the new site would create room for the secondary to maximise it original space.
He said, “With what I saw the level of completion o can estimate the construction around 60-65 percent. Our main aim is to ensure that by December this school will be completely finished ready for take off.
“I’m instructing the contractor to abide with the target. So that the next enrolment of students for school of nursing and midwifery admitted to come to this campus.”
He advised the Commissioner for Works to supervise the physical and environmental position of the school, to ensure it complied with plan,While insisting on December date.
“To make it in tandem with the work. I can see the level of completion of diagnostic centre which initially was the main reason we started school of nursing. I want to believe you will go by my instructions by the end of December 2022,” Yahaya added.
