No fewer than 1181 batch C stream I Prospective Corps Members are expected to participate in the compulsory three weeks orientation course in Gombe State.

 

According to a Press Statement made available to PERISCOPE NIGERIA, by the Head of Press and Public Relations Margaret Iliya, on behalf of the State Coordinator Ada Imoni, this was part of effort to continue grooming eligible Nigerian graduates for national unity and integration.

 

The statement disclosed that the orientation course is following the Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier-General Muhammad Kaku Fadah, approval that the conduct of the 2022 Batch C Stream I Orientation Course be held from Wednesday 2nd November through Tuesday 22nd November ,2022 in the thirty six States and FCT.

The Statement partly said, “No fewer than one thousand one hundred and eighty one (1181) prospective Corps members have been deployed to Gombe State for the one year National service, and are expected to be encamped at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Amada, for the three week exercise.”

The timetable for major activities is as follows:
Commencement- Wednesday 2nd November 2022

Registration- Wednesday 2nd November through Friday 4th November ,2022

Cut of date for registration- Midnight of Friday 4th November,2022

Swearing-in Ceremony: Tuesday 8th November 2022

Closing Ceremony: Tuesday 22nd November,2022

While advising Prospective Corps members to board vehicles at designated Motor parks, the Coordinator also wished them safest trip to the camp, “As a matter of seriousness, avoid boarding road side vehicles also known as lift. It is also important to avoid night journeys by breaking the journey once it is 6pm.

“We have liaised with the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers at Bauchi Park and Gombe line to direct Prospective Corps members to the venue of the Orientation Course. In the same vein, NYSC Staff have also been assigned to designated Motor parks to accord them a warm reception on arrival,” the Coordinator said.

The statement added, “It is imperative you know that , all extant guidelines for Covid-19 shall be adhered to from the Camp gate and throughout the duration of the exercise. Be ready to adhere to it’s safety protocols .

“we also assure you that the good and peace loving people of Gombe State are eager to receive you.”
