2023: Gombe Gov Vows To Consolidate Gains Of First Term

Gombe State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya on Monday, kicked off his campaign rally for his re-election bid of additional four years with the promise to consolidate the gains made by his administration in the first tenure.

Apart from that the purpose of the campaign rally for his re- election was to canvass for votes, reiterate his patriotic zeal to provide the dividends of democracy and reassure the people of his avowed commitment to consolidate on the gains made by his administration.
The Campaign Council headed by Jamil Gwamna, said the governor is ever determined to knock out any candidate with his strong political manifesto of his APC led- administration which pundits believe speaks for itself hence, the first area visited by the Campaign Council was in Balanga which took the Campaign Council two days to cover.
Apart from promises made, it was another season of ” money rain” because each ward and political unit in the 114 received appreciable amounts.

Our correspondent reports that Gombe State Campaigns rally re-election campaigns across all 114 wards in the state and villages have taken the governor to Kaltungo which took the train two days where he usually sought for the people’s mandate for a second term, to deliver democratic dividends.
Monday, the campaign train visited Bala- Waja palace, the Headquarters of Balanga Local Government, Talase and covered the remaining four wards in the area, namely Gelengu, Swa, Bangu Dala-Waja and Degri respectively.
The Governor who was at the Palace of the Paramount Ruler of the Waja Chiefdom, the Bala Waja, Alhaji Muhammad Danjuma Muhammad, appreciated Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for commencing his re-election campaign from his chiefdom.
The Director -General of the APC Campaign in Gombe State, Barrister. Zubair Muhammad Umar, who called on the people of Balanga to choose wisely in the 2023 general elections, by voting for APC candidates at all levels.
He charged the district and village heads to mobilise their subjects on the development projects executed by the Inuwa Yahaya-led APC administration.
“We did not ask you to campaign for us, it’s not your duty, but tell your subjects the truth about our development projects and let them decide,” said Umar.
The Governor Yahaya Campaign train also promised to consolidate on his previous achievements recorded in the area, including the construction of a major road, the 21-kilometer road linking Balanga North and South worth more than 8 billion Naira, which according to stakeholders from the area, is the greatest gift to their people.
He promised to do more for the people and as such sought for their support to be able to open up the area by linking them up through more road constructions.
Governor Yahaya also promised the people in the hinterlands of Balanga North that their votes would lead to a better life for them, based on the fulfillment of past promises which he made in 2019.
Enumerating his administration’s delivery of democratic dividends, Governor Yahaya listed the construction of several roads.
“When we came here in 2019, we made promises, but today, we can beat our chest that most of these promises are successfully delivered. We are proud of what we did and I am sure people are satisfied with the achievements; I am also confident that APC will have a landslide victory in the forthcoming general elections,” Governor Yahaya said.
The usual speakers including the All Progressives Congress candidates vying for various positions at the state and Federal levels, all encouraged electorates in Balanga to get their voters cards ready, so as to vote for the party in the 2023 elections.
Also, Senator Joshua Lidani, Gombe South Senatorial District candidate, the Coordinator of the APC Campaign Council in Gombe State, Jamilu Isyaku Gamna, as well as the Deputy Governor of the State, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, all encouraged the people of Balanga to vote for Governor Yahaya in 2023 so that the wind of development already recorded in the area would continue.
The pundits, added further, that welfare of the people should be number one priority rather than provision of social services without correlating with stomach infrastructure of the people.
