Gombe NOA Sensitises Burak Community On Redesigned Notes
The State Director National Orientation Agency (NOA), Gombe State, Adaline Waye Patari, has called on people of Burak to take their old N200, N500 and N1000 notes to the banks for lodgement.
Patari made the call while speaking during the state sensitisation programme on the redesigned naira notes of N1000, N200 and N500 denominations in Burak district of Shongom Local Government Area.

She said, “The redesigning of the naira notes is an effort of the central Bank of Nigeria to ensure cashless policy in Nigeria. The old naira notes are in circulation with the new notes until 31st January 2023, when it will cease to be legal tender.”
The director appealed to Imams and Pastors to educate worshipers on the development, adding that “as time is running considering that by end of January this year the old naira notes will not be accepted as a legal tender.”

On his part, the District Head of Burak, Gondak Garba, appreciated the State office of National Orientation Agency for the sensitisation programme, assuring that he would mobilise his subjects and educate them in all nooks and crannies of Burak district.

Those in attendance include; traditional, religious leaders, women and Youth leaders, students among others.
