Gombe United GM lauds Gov Yahaya for support to Club
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has been lauded for always being supportive to Gombe United Football Club.
The General Manager of the club, Abubakar Abubakar Yellow, made the commendation while addressing the players and technical crew after their last training session at the Pantami stadium as they head to Ibadan,Oyo state for their 2023 NPFL season opener against Kwara United this Sunday.

Yellow described Governor Yahaya as a football loving governor who always identifies with the club both morally, materially and financially.
The Savannah Scorpions boss also applauded the technical crew and backroom staff for their commitment, hoping they would sustain the tempo.
To the players, Yellow pledged to dole out cash prizes ranging from each goal scored, assist; clean sheet, Most Valuable Player (MVP) amongst other, in an effort to ginger and motivate the players for optimum performance.
Also speaking, the Technical Adviser of the club,Aliyu Zubairu urged the players to be focused and go for the maximum points, describing the ABRIDGED LEAGUE as “tricky”.
Aliyu Zubairu gave a pat on the back of our supporters for their relentless, undiluted and unshakable support and pray that would continued.
Responding on behalf of the players, club’s captain, Itodo Akor, thanked the management of the club for being supportive, he assured not to disappoint, “as we will give our best for the club.”
