Why Obasanjo’s presidency can’t be compared to Buhari’s administration -Ahmad
Bashir Ahmad, the Special Assistant on Digital Communications to President Muhammadu Buhari, has given reasons why Muhammadu Buhari administration is far better than Olusegun Obasanjo’s presidency.
Ahmad disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists which was obtained by PERISCOPE NIGERIA.
According to him, Buhari has displayed tolerance and respect for the constitution in handling issues.
“President Muhammadu Buhari built the second Niger bridge after decades of his predecessors failing to build the structure. Buhari Government accused Obasanjo of deceiving the Easterners that he would build the bridge but that he never did.
“President Buhari has respected the constitution by not trying to propose a third term bid as President and that the number one Nigerian citizen has been bagging awards because of this. On the other hand, the Buhari Government accused Obasanjo of trying to establish a third term bid while he was president but that he failed.
President Buhari has earned respect across West Africa because he has stabilised and maintain democracy both in Nigeria and in West Africa. However, the Buhari Government alleged that Obasanjo destabilised the internal democracy of Nigeria when he was President,” he said.
