New naira: More banks in Rivers paying, as customers surge
More banks in Port Harcourt, Rivers State are attending to customers and paying either through the Automated Teller Machine or inside the banking hall.

Also at Access Bank, Trans Amadi, though the gate of the back was locked, but customers were being called into the bank on a first come first serve basis.
Our correspondent who went round, reports that some customers were in the bank as early as 7am to get vantage position.
At the Fidelity Bank, the manager came out at about 2:23 pm to address the customers, saying they would try to attend to as many as possible.
However, some banks in the town axis are not paying, but attending to customers with issues of transfers and activation of new ATM.
