Gombe NSCDC deploys 780 officers ahead of Easter

No fewer than 780 Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps officers have been deployed ahead Easter celebration in Gombe.
According to the State Commandant Achir Abraham, the officers are expected to maintain professionalism and good conduct throughout the celebration.
He disclosed that the command has emplaced robust security arrangement and crime prevention strategies.
Abraham made this disclosure in a press statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer DSC Buhari Sa’ad, stressing that the officers would ensure peaceful across the 11 Local Government Area.
He said, “About 780 officers have been deployed to fortify security during Easter celebration in Gombe State. Officers are expected to maintain peace and order within the requirements of the law.”
The Commandant while urging residents to enjoy the season within the confine of the law, also issued stern warning to those planning to perpetrate harm on harmless people.
“Residents should be security conscious and provide useful information to Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other agencies,” the statement added.
