Victor Osimhen Shines as Super Eagles Beat Sierra Leone 3-2 to Qualify for AFCON 2024

The Super Eagles humbled Sierra Leone 3-2 in a dramatic encounter in Group A to qualify for AFCON 2024.
Napoli hit man Victor Osimhen proved himself again as the top scorer in Italian league as he scored a brace in 19th and 32nd minute of the game to Put Nigeria ahead.
Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho who came in as a late substitute scored the decisive late goal in the 95th minute to guarantee Nigeria’s qualification on Sunday in Monrovia, the Capital of Liberia.

Though it was not an easy duel for the Super Eagles as Mustapha Bundu equalised in the 41st minutes to drag the match to 2-1 while Augustus Kargbo scored in the 84th minute for Sierra Leone to make it a 2-2 draw.
In the Group Standings, the Super Eagles seats on top in Group A on 12 points, after 3-2 defeat of Sierra Leone, while Guinea-Bissau takes the second spot.
Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau has already qualified in Group A and the Super Eagles final game in the qualifiers will be against São Tomé and Principe in September.
