Gov Kefas applauds NYSC for sustenance of SAED programme
Dr Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State has applauded the National Youth Service Corps scheme for the creation and sustenance of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development.

The scheme is a self-development programme, geared towards equipping the corps members with relevant skills that will enable them to become self-employed, self-reliant, and create wealth and jobs.
Dr Kefas made this known through his representative, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Amb. Joseph Joshua, who presided over the opening of the orientation course for the 2023 Batch “B” Stream II Corps members held at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Sibre, Ardo Kola Local Government Area of the state.
He tasked the corps members to be of good behaviour, law-abiding, disciplined, and resourceful as well as to begin now to think and plan on how best to contribute to the growth and development of the economy of Taraba State.
The Taraba State Chief Executive also pledged the unwavering commitment of his administration to the security and welfare of corps members in the state and offered support for all programs and activities of the scheme in the state.
While thanking the Governor for his presence at the occasion, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, who represented the Commissioner in a welcome address appreciated the crop of corps members for accepting their call-up to serve in Taraba State and urged them to make the best out of their service year.
Earlier in an address, the Coordinator of NYSC Taraba State, Mr. Anthony Nzoka, expressed his profound gratitude to the representative of the Governor and the good people of the state for their support and assistance to the scheme at all times.
He advised the incoming corps members to appreciate and understand their critical roles as Change Agents and be ready to discharge this role diligently and judiciously in the state.
Our Correspondent reports that the representative of the Chief Judge of the state, Justice D. N. Buba, administered the National Pledge and the Oath of Allegiance to the incoming corps members.
