Police parade four suspects for burning, looting tailoring shops in Gombe
The Gombe State Police command on Monday, paraded four suspects who allegedly conspired to burgle, and set ablaze shops at tailoring line located in the market.
Parading the four suspects at the command headquarters, Commissioner of Police, Oqua Etim, said the gang broke into 15 tailoring shops, stole different products, ranging from sewing machines, designing machines and clothing materials worth several thousands of naira, after which they burnt down 10 out of the 15 shops they looted.
According to him, they were arrested through credible intelligence, adding that his operatives apprehended four suspects in connection to the crime.
He said, “The suspects include Rabiu Muhammed aged 18 years, Laminu Yayaji, 18 years old, while Shehu Yunusa and Abdullahi Musa who are both 16 years are from Mallam Inna Quarters.”
While disclosing the various efforts of the Police, Etim added, “The Police successfully recovered two butterfly machines, and 17 wrappers. The Police were also able to identify so criminal relievers who are still at large.”
