100 days: Fintiri parleys Adamawa media practitioners
As part of activities marking its first hundred days in office following the renewal of mandate given to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, by popular votes of the people, the Adamawa State Government engaged members of the pen profession in and interactive session during a dinner organised at the banquet Hall of the Government house in Yola.
The event which was graced by a vast section of the media practitioners also had in attendance top government functionaries.

The Chief of staff Government House Dr Edgar Amos, who represented Governor Fintiri gave an overview of the successes recorded so far in the first hundred days of the second tenure.
He enumerated areas that include bolstering of security measures, infrastructural development in terms of urban and rural renewal project such as road, drainages approval for the construction of the third flyover, palliative measures, education intervention programmes and the general welfare of the citizenry.

He reiterated governments commitment towards bettering the lives of the people and further harped on the streamline of the eleven point agenda to eight cardinal points for effective implementation. He gave the assurance that better day lies ahead in terms of the determination of the Fintiri led government towards the provision of dividends of democracy. He further hinted of government’s plan to have a befitting stadium in the state among several other projects.

The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Neido Tanyishi Geoffrey Kofulto, appreciated the role of the media and gentlemen of the press who have remained unwavering in terms of balanced reportage and information dissemination.
She further solicited the media’s cooperation in publicising activities of Government. Chief Press secretary Humwashi Wonosikou, appreciated the role of the media and journalists who stood by government in terms of publicity.
Other speakers like Zare Baba who spoke on behalf of the media called on Government to support journalists more especially by injection life impacting reforms that will aid in improving the working conditions of journalists in the state and the country at large.
