Gombe Govt sympathises with Dukku Emirate over Yakubu Rasheed
…also mourns death of District Head of Kuri
The Gombe State Deputy Governor, Manassah Daniel Jatau, has led a delegation of top government functionaries to sympathise with Dukku Emirate over death of Engineer Yakubu Rasheed, a brother to the Emir, Alhaji Haruna Abdulkadir Rasheed.

The delegation later proceeded to Kuri in Yamaltu-Deba local Government Area to attend the burial of the late District Head, Alhaji Badamasi Ahmadu and conveyed the condolences of the Governor and people of Gombe State over the losses.

Delivering the messages of condolence at the two places, the Deputy Governor said the government is grieved and devastated over the lost.
“Death is an act of God that happens to all mortals,” he added calling on the families to accept it as a divine plan for the deceased and the families,” he said.
He explained that death is a reminder to humanity that all shall die one day, when the time allocated by the Almighty is spent, calling on the people to live their lives in preparation for the live hereafter.
At the Gombe residence of the late Rasheed, Secretary to the Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, said death is inevitable on all mortals and shall come at any time according to the plan of God.
” Death is a necessity on every living being. Whenever one’s time is up, there is no any remedy, one must go. What remains now is prayers for Allah to grant his soul Aljannat Firdaus,” he added.
Responding to the delegation in Dukku, the Emir of Dukku Alhaji Rasheed, appreciated the government for always identifying with the people, praying God to bless their endeavours.
At the Gombe residence of the deceased, Rasheed the family expressed thanks to the government for coming to share their pains and prayed Allah to reward them abundantly.
While at Deba,the Emir, Alhaji Ahmad Usman Mohammad, received the delegation at Kuri and together performed the funeral prayer of the late District Head Alhaji Badamasi Ahmadu, after which prayers were offered for the repose of the deceased soul.
The delegation include Honourable Commissioners-Designate, Dr Habu Dahiru, and Alhaji Nasiru Mohammad Aliyu, as well as Permanent Secretaries, Executive Secretaries and Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Mohammed Usman Shanu, among others.
